Americana music just the way you like it: early in the morning, or just about supper time. We intend to be firing on all cylinders in this week’s episode as we share new sounds from Dave Alvin, Shemekia Copeland, Beth Bombara, Cidny Bullens, and a whole host of others. We take a tour down California’s own heartland to share the music of a favorite of ours here on Blue Moon: Dave Alvin. With a new album of rarities and B-sides released in September, the Central Valley of California couldn’t be better represented. We’ll be sharing some classic Blasters, some sibling sessions, and some our favorite originals from a master class Americana bluesman. Tune in and join Dave Stroud as he keeps his quarantine and discards the pseudo-science of “herd immunity” in favor of common sense, science, and a foundation belief in the importance of making this place we call home a better place for all citizens, particularly those who have been marginalized or fundamentally excluded.
