Returning from vacation for a rousing selection of new sounds from the Americana realm. New tracks from Jim Lauderdale, Neko Case, Kevin Galloway, and Steve Forbert headline today’s show. Also, I’ve got a track or two from Mike Farris’ newest, Silver & Stone, to share with you on our last show of August which also highlights some local talent from then and now. I’ll be sharing tracks from Kevin Russell’s bands The Rhythm Rangers and Modern Hicks, and some solo efforts, particularly a favorite Louvin Brothers track of mine “Are You Teasing Me?” Doug Kershaw, Markus James, Robbie Fulks and Amanda Shires round things out as we begin our salute to another summer’s passing on Sonoma County community radio.
