There’s a comet passing across our skies, giving us a little hope in a land where there are dire warnings of the threat yet to come. It’s a fact. We are in a pandemic that promises to be the greatest health crisis this country has ever known. There’s no time for blame and name-calling and if it weren’t for the incapable, pouting behavior coming out of the People’s House, we’d be on a road to recovery and management. That’s also a fact. But, in the mean time, we’ll let music weave its tapestry of hope because it’s one of the only sources of hope we have. This week, some fine new entries in the Americana realm including Margo Price, Charlie Crockett, Ted Russell Kamp, and a few others. Our throwback sounds will be a collage of some greats: Billy Joe Shaver, Asleep at the Wheel, and Sturgill Simpson. Join Dave Stroud as he’ll also be sharing a brand new track from The Avett Brothers. All of this on a bright-eyes Thursday morning here in COVID shutdown Sonoma County.
